Jackson's Kennel is a hobby breeder in Mitchell, Indiana dedicated to raising quality breed standard Dobermans and balanced working Malinois. We choose our dogs based on strict evaluations. We only breed quality dogs, with good genetics, ideal health, and even temperaments. Our aim is to produce diversity and lower the COI. We only breed the 4 DPCA standard colors and do not breed white/z factored, nor melanistic Dobermans. We breed for the whole dog; sport, show and pet lines as well as both import/European and American Doberman lines. Our Malinois honor the breed foundation colors as well as traditional standard colors while preserving working ability. We are canine CPR certified. All our breeding dogs have complete full health testing done within the United States, even if imported. We are members of the IABCA, ICKC, Doberman Diversity Project, Huron River Canines - AKC FITDOG Club, and the Bloomington Indiana Kennel Club (an AKC all-breed club).
Our puppies come up to date on shots (protecting against parvo, hepatitis, kennel cough, distemper and more!) and dewormed. All puppies are sold AKC registered and provided a take-home puppy packet (health record, toy, copies of vet visits, bag of food). All dogs come with free health insurance for 30 days, provided through both the AKC. We DO NOT require pediatric spay or neuter, but recommend adults 18+ mths and older should be altered if not being shown, competed or bred. We offer full AKC registration only to approved breeder homes via two methods; 1) for free upon proof of completing one title and full health testing or 2) upon proof of completing two breeder education course, and $1000 fee (to approved select breeders). Dogs may be left unaltered (tail and dewclaws intact); intact puppies must be paid in full prior to tail docking. Ear cropping is free and comes included with all our puppies. We are located in Mitchell Indiana.

About Us

Jackson's Kennel is ran by myself, Kalee Jackson, and my husband Dustin. I am a mother of two wonderful boys. First and foremost we a family. We are a laid back family and enjoy hobbies such as trails, fishing, rock hounding, fossil collecting, and the occasional sports. My husband is a real estate agent, professional personal/fitness trainer and health enthusiast. He has a background in martial arts, track, and boxing. I too have a history in martial arts, as well as hold a college degree in business and liberal arts. I enjoy art, history, meaningful music and, of course, my dogs, and a bit of macabre humor. I hold several professional accredited certifications in animal welfare, animal care, canine behavior, veterinary assistant, animal nutrition, dog behavior, and am continuing my education in canine sciences, canine behavior, certified applied dog training methods and more. I am active in Doberman research and participate in any I am eligible for.  I am one of the go-to specialist in the Midwest Doberman community for all things Doberman!
I started breeding Dobermans on a small scale in 2014 and have rapidly grown in both my passion for working dogs and in my understanding of breeding. I became a hobby breeder with a focus on breed preservation and professionalism in 2016 and have continued to grow and refine my program. In 2022 I began working with Belgian Malinois. I pride myself on transparency and breed education. I do not have puppies available at all times. An application is required to be approved for a dog. My dogs start breeding around 2 years old/second heat cycle and retire with spay/neuter around 5 or 6 years old. Breeding is a deeply ingrained passion I have dedicated my life to. Every breeding from my program is thoroughly planned out for the preservation and betterment of the breed. While breeding is a part of my program, the largest part of my program is being a breed ambassador and educator. My dream is to help all those with open minds, open hearts and an eagerness to learn to become better pet parents, animal advocates, and responsible pet owners. When I am not raising a litter I am either showing, competing, titling, training, working on studies, participating in education programs, advocating, volunteering, or putting together educational videos and papers for others to enjoy.
